How to Create Segments?
Follow the steps below to create new segments including beacon and geofence segments
Step 1:
Login into Mobiconnect with valid credentials and select your project.

Step 2:
Navigate to the Segments page by clicking on the Segments from the menu.
Step 3 :
Click on ‘New’ to add a new Segment
Step 4:
Choose one from the segment options: Beacon, GeoFence, or Others.
If you select GeoFence or Beacon, you must also choose a location from the map to continue.
Step 4:
Fill out Segment details and choose the segment type ( If it was not selected earlier)

Segment details include
- Enter a name for the segment.
- Select the targeted device type (iOS, Android, or both).
- Choose users from a predefined list to target.
- Categorise the segment using tags.
- Define the segment type (GeoFence, Beacon, or Others).
- Set the segment’s active status using a checkbox.
Step 5:
Enter the details of GeoFence or Beacon based on the Selection
- Click on “Save” to apply the changes
- Click on “Cancel” to close the Crete segment form without saving

For GeoFence Segments:
- Use the map pin feature to set the exact location.
- Enter an address.
- The system auto-populates latitude and longitude, which you can adjust if necessary.
- Upload attachments.
For Beacon Segments:
- Add a new beacon or select from existing registered beacons.
- Provide a unique beacon name, major and minor IDs, a valid UUID, and
- select proximity settings (Far, Near, Unknown, Immediate).
- Enter an Address linked to the beacon.
